Just wondering if anyone has any particular favourite bands that aren't in the archive but you would love to see there?

I'd like to see some Screaming Headless Torsos - check out Club D'Elf as they're the closest thing in the archive to SHT. Also, I'd love to see some King's X in there.

Got that already, thanks for the reply!!!! When I Download it comes through as 1 large file. Is there any way to to break up the 2hr DL so you can put it on a CD, or can it only be used in an Ipod and played on the computer as 1 large file.

I am using MP3Cutter to edit the files into individual tracks. I found it on the web, it a fairly ok shareware program. It takes a decent amount of work getting these files ready for my IPOD, but it is worth it. I have to convert the files from WMA to MP3, which takes about 30 minutes each using Itunes. Then I use MP3cutter to separate the file into tracks. It takes quite a while but there is some great stuff on that site there.

Anybody know a better MP3 editor to use to split up these large files into tracks? I'm not crazy about MP3cutter.

What's the website for the MP3 cutter? How much does it cost? Please let us know if there is a better way to do this!

Phan, I find the best way to do it is to find an MP3, WMA, or RM converter on CNET.Com. Use the converter to convert the files over to .WAV then use 'Sound Editor' in Roxio to break up the files as desired, save and then burn.

It would blow my mind to see the incredible jazz trio
THE BAD PLUS
on the archive.

Just saw them for the 2nd time in concert and they were again the best live act i've seen in years upon years.

They are technically a jazz trio but they play w/the energy of a rock band. Their original material is the best but they also do amazing deconstructive covers of tunes like Smells Like Teen Spirit, Heart of Glass, Chariots of Fire, and even Iron Man by Black Sabbath.

They are so damn good.

If we can't get them on the archive do whatever it takes to find a bootleg from somewhere (altho' I haven't been able to find one myself yet )-:

They are one of those bands that are fine in the studio but beyond belief in concert.

On the plus side, I believe Color and Talea intended to make d/l's available on their own site instead, so just go there!

I would love to see Jazz Mandolin Project become a part of the archive.

and "Bingefeller" - I'm glad you're enjoying all the Club d'Elf. Be sure to check out "Icaros" and "Geoff Scott's Public House" - many of the same musicians playing in those groups as well.
